Salads in a Jar are perfect for those busy days! Prep for a few days, store in the refrigerator and you are ready to grab and go! Either purchase wide-mouth 500 ml mason jars or start saving jars from different pasta sauces or salsas. The possibilities are endless... have fun, be creative and design your own Salad in a Jar to suit your individual tastes. Five to six foods are a great number to complement with taste and texture for your lunch or dinner.... Here are some ideas to try... Mexican inspired Peach Mango Chicken Salad in a Jar Pour 3 Tbsp. of Sunset Gourmet’s Peach Habanero Salsa with 2 Tbsp. Greek Yogurt or sour cream, into a jar. Layer from bottom to top... cup chopped yellow or red peppers 1 Tbsp. chopped red onion cup drained and rinsed chickpeas tossed with Applewood Chipotle Seasoning 6 cherry tomatoes avocado diced black olives 1/3 cup cooked diced chicken Top with greens to fill the jar. Creamy Pineapple Pasta Salad In a Jar Pour 2 Tbsp. Creamy Vidalia Onion & Poppy Seed Dressing mixed with 2 Tbsp. Pineapple Jalapeno Jelly into each jar. Layer from bottom to top ... 1/8 cup chopped red peppers 1/8 cup chopped red onions cup al dente cooked Fusilli or Penne Pasta 1/4 cup chopped & peeled cucumber 6 grape or cherry tomatoes 1/8 cup crumbled feta cheese 4 black pitted olives 1 Tbsp. Spinach & Herb Seasoning mixed with plain Greek yogurt Top the remainder of the jar with a pinch of your favourite leafy greens. Chicken & Quinoa Salad in a Jar Pour 2-3 Tbsp. Sweet Onion & Tomato Dressing and Marinade into the jar. Layer from bottom to top: chopped raw cauliflower cup chopped red pepper 1/8 cup chopped green onion 1/4 cup cooked quinoa 1/3 cup diced cooked chicken seasoned with Sunset Seasoned Salt 1 Tbsp. Spinach & Herb Mix mixed with sour cream Top the remainder of the jar with spinach. NOTE: This salad would also be delicious sautéed and served warm.

Here is another recipe from our Salads in a Jar video: Tex Mex Salad in a Jar (This recipe serves 4) and is perfect for a busy day. You can double up on the ground beef and use for tacos the next day. Cook once eat twice! 1 cups Broccoli slaw mix lb ground beef cooked and seasoned with Sriracha Ranch Salsa and Peach & Mango Habanero Salsa... 2 Tbsp. Sriracha Ranch Dip mix (divided) Peach & Mango Habanero Salsa cup sour cream cup mayonnaise 2 Tbsp. milk red and yellow pepper, diced 1 tsp Garlic Pepper with a Twist of Lime 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 3 Tbsp. Chipotle Black Bean & Corn Salsa Salad greens Cook ground beef with 1 Tablespoon Sriracha Ranch Dip Mix; add Peach & Mango Salsa in the last 5 minutes of cooking and let cool. Make the dressing by combining 1 Tablespoon Sriracha Ranch Dip mix with sour cream, mayonnaise and milk. Layer with remaining products. To serve: after you plate the salad top with a dollop of sour cream and more Chipotle Black Bean & Corn Salsa if so desired. Serve with a side of tortilla chips. See more
