Dear Club Members. We have been made aware by the Parks Board that some parents and skaters are not following the safety protocols in place to keep everyone safe. We have also been made aware of some parents being somewhat aggressive to Parks Board Staff. We ask that you please refrain from this negative activity. Like the rest of us, Parks Board Staff have there own pressures and risk their own personal safety everyday to ensure that our skaters are safe. Sunset Skating Cl...ub is about sportsmanship, inclusion, positivity, and most off all safety. As members of Sunset we urge you to be more compassionate. If there is one thing that we have learned about this pandemic is that we can no longer be selfish and we clearly need to look out for one another. Please be safe and kind to each other including Parks Board Staff - they have families and friends as well. Thank You.

Sunset Skating Club are delighted to announce that we will be back at our home rink effective September 21st, 2020. Please note that due to the current pandemic, there will be specific protocols in place and that spectators are not allowed to enter the rink. All club members will be receiving e-mail notification from the club shortly. We welcome OUR family back to our HOME (rink). Best wishes from the Board of Directors and Coaches of SFSC.

Today, I drove by the rink and the only car in the parking lot was that of the Zamboni Operator. I felt cold, empty and alone just for that split second. It finally struck me that the world we live in has changed. It was also a reminder that sometimes the things we take for granted can disappear as quickly as they are given. For that, I am thankful for THIS club. Reflecting on the last 10 years, we have become 'that' club from Main Street to a known and growing concern in fig...ure skating nationwide. This club has produced Champions at every level. I am thankful to ALL of our FANTASTIC coaches, without you, this club would still be 'that' club. To all of our skaters and their parents, thank YOU ALL for your dedication and support over the years. As we move forward, both myself and the Board wish you all a Healthy, Happy and Safe Spring. Amy Shaoning Yang: Advanced Novice Group 2 Champion at Bavaria Open, Germany Sunset Skating Club are proud to announce that Amy Shaoning Yang is the first member of the club to win an International Competition! Both Amy and her coach Jennifer Jiang have exhibited a very high level of dedication to this wonderful sport. In under a month, Amy has won the Canadian Championship and an all-world event. Congratulations to both Amy and Coach Jennifer! Sunset Represent!!!!!!
