This event will be held at our Centre (609 18th Street, Fort Macleod), and we will begin the evening with a meal at 6 p.m. **Because we are providing a meal, we ask that you please RSVP myself or Kathy BY NOVEMBER 30, 2019** If you have never attended a Blanket Exercise before, you may visit this link to learn more: https://www.kairosblanketexercise.org/ As described on the website, the "KAIROS Blanket Exercise program is a unique, interactive and participatory history lesson developed in collaboration with Indigenous Elders, knowledge keepers and educators. Developed in response to the Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples in 1996 which recommended education about Canadian-Indigenous history as one of the key steps to reconciliation the KAIROS Blanket Exercise (KBE) covers more than 500 years in a 90-minute experiential workshop that aims to foster understanding about our shared history as Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Since its creation, the Exercise has been updated several times to include new information such as the 2015 Truth and Reconciliation final report" Being both emotional and intellectual, the Blanket Exercise is a powerful experience; we hope to see many of you there!

We are inviting community members to join the course, with the hope of allowing other partners and stakeholders to collaborate and receive certification as well. We want to thank Liz Greenaway for coming to our Provider meeting last night to talk about healthy menu planning and limiting sugar in our Day Homes. We learned about about the importance of whole foods and how to read labels. We were also very thankful for the yummy treats along with the recipes you brought for us to try!

Our Survey results February 2018. In February 100% of our active families completed our annual survey. We want to thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. The results have given us fantastic direction in establishing new Accreditation goals and to pay more attention to areas we had not thought about before. These surveys keep us focused, accountable and always striving to improve. We always welcome feedback and suggestions from our families and community at anyt...ime and not just at survey time. If you are unable to open this attachment a print copy is available in our office. We have an open door policy and your welcome to stop by to view the survey, Provider Profiles, or discuss concerns.
