Rain rain! We have seen enough wet weather to bring the fire danger class rating down to where we can issue firewood permits again. Please come by the office 9am-4pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday OR email your name, address, phone number, and license plate to [email protected] for a permit. Please note we have not done any recent logging and the permits we have available are for blocks that are quite picked over, and will require some work to get wood to roadside.

Please join us for our Sixth Annual WoodExpo! We are taking every precaution to make this a safe, comfortable event for our community of local woodcrafters, artists, hobbyists and those who appreciate fine, locally made wood products. The following procedures are in place for this event:... One-way foot traffic throughout Sanitizing stations throughout 4 hand washing facilities Masks offered by donation upon entry Most exhibitors are outdoors Visitors required to wear masks while indoors Occupancy in each indoor space will be maintained at HALF what public health has approved for the facility All exhibitors are spaced to allow for well above the 2m requirement for physical distancing We are encouraging visitors to register this year. The event is free as always, and having visitors book their time slot in advance will help us to avoid congestion as we restrict our attendance in accordance with public health guidelines. Walk-ins will be admitted if space permits. Please register at : https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/woodexpo-2020-tickets-119982190
While we have had enough rainfall to green our lawns and gardens, it has not been enough to abate the wildfire risk in our region - our Firewood Permit program remains CLOSED for now.
