Sunshine Community Garden

COVID-1900 Project Update!!!! We are SOOOO close to crushing our goal to harvest 1900 pounds of fresh produce for our local food bank. Currently we have harvested 1800+ lbs of beautiful, homegrown produce! ... We don’t like counting our chickens before they’ve hatched, but I’d say we are well on our way to accomplishing our goal! As mentioned previously, a HUGE thank you goes to our members who have undertaken the task of tending to these plants and helping orchestrate the project.

We recently received 14 yards of fresh soil for half price delivered right to our door step all by kind hearted and generous volunteers. We are excited to put this soil to good use and are very appreciative for all the work that went into making this happen. BIG THANKS to the following: Jody from CSCL who coordinated and organized this initiative.... Barron who donated his time and trucked the load of soil in for us. Dan Knoke who provided us with 14 yards of soil for half price. Chilliwack Sand & Gravel donated the truck to make sure the soil could be delivered. Our members who will be busy spreading the soil and putting it to good use. They always say it takes a village, and in this case it couldn’t be more true!!!!
