Sunshine Speakers had an on-line meeting on Monday. It was a shortened meeting and went quite well for our first try. We're going to try it again. Stay tuned and know that we will still meet virtually while we're not able to meet in person. Stay safe, stay well and please make sure you stay at least 2 metres apart so we get through this pandemic together.

One of the roles during our Toastmasters Meeting is 'Word of the Evening'. Someone gets to pick a word that usually matches the theme of the night and gives the definition. And as Toastmasters we try to use the word throughtout the evening.

Interesting morning yesterday. I was attending an Area 12 Toastmasters Contest in Midland. The weather on Friday was pretty nasty and I couldn't get out of my driveway the next day; not because of the snow but the sheer ice on the sloped part of my driveway. Thanks to friends and fellow Toastmasters, Paige and Harold, I was picked up and driven safely to the contest. We heard some great speeches and evaluations. Yeah, Area 12! You rock!
