Our little club is growing. We have had five new members join this Fall. The meetings are lively and fun. Come out on any Tuesday evening at 6:15, at the Hummingbird Clinic on Mermaid Street in Sechelt. We love to have guest!
Sunshine Toastmasters has moved location, we are now meeting at the Hummingbird Clinic on Mermaid Street in Sechelt. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Guests are always welcome to attend. We are starting a new six week Speechcraft program on Sept. 27th. This is a short introduction to communication and speaking skills run by club members. The cost is $45. For more information contact Maureen McBeath at [email protected].
Speechcraft is going great. We have six 'new to Toastmasters' learning to prepare and deliver short speeches. This week three newbees gave their Ice Breaker speeches - congratulations to Sharon, Donna and Grace. Come out and join us next week for two great Ed Sessions; Get to the Point and Why Mentors Matter.

Sunshine Toastmasters is alive and well. We are meeting at the Arts Centre on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of June. In July we will be gathering for fun social and conversations. I agree, BC is beautiful and very family friendly.
Although Maureen didn't win in Prince George she was the only women in the competition with seven men. She said she felt like a winner just being there and representing the women in Toastmasters.
Congratulations to Maureen McBeath for placing 1st in the Division H International Speech Contest. She will be representing Division H (North Van., West Van., Squamish, Whistler and the Sunshine Coast ) in the District 96 finals in Prince George on May 2nd.
Tuesday, March 31st, is Contest Night!! Come out and see four of our members compete to become the winner of the Evaluation Contest. Winners will continue to the Area Contest in Gibsons next Saturday.
Sunshine Toastmasters special event - Open House - A Celebration of Music. Tuesday, March 10th, 6:15-8pm. Sing a song, play an instrument, talk about music, recite lyrics or just enjoy others doing the above while you check out Toastmasters. All welcome. No charge.
