March 14th Policy Changes: We will be allowing a maximum of two people into the exam room for regularly scheduled appointments. We will be continuing with enhanced cleaning protocols. Some services will still be conducted as curbside services to allow us to see the increased amount of clientele/patients we are seeing in the last two years. This includes nail trims, anal glands, and any appointments that are booked after the regular appointment slots for the day are full ...or we are squeezing in over lunch/supper breaks. Masks will be at clients discretion but appreciated, but the staff will be wearing them in exam rooms and during conversations at this time. We will continue to try to limit the number of clients and patients in the lobby to reduce anxiety for our patients during visits. Please call or let us know when you arrive for appointments if possible.

Which are you? Or are you both like most of us?
Thank you to all of our amazing clients for helping us stay safe, and helping to keep you safe, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Going forward we will continue to follow the social distancing protocols and limit the amount of people in our lobby. We appreciate your continued patience as we try to serve everyone efficiently. If you have a mask we suggest you wear it when picking up food and prescriptions, or when seeing the veterinarian. We are happy to continue to offer curbside pick up as well when requested. Thank you

Friends, Sometimes veterinary medicine isn't just about our patients, and this is one of those times. It is very important to us to keep our clients, staff, and our communities safe during this time. We will be following the recommendations and protocols set out by our provincial and federal medical officials during this time. In the coming weeks, our primary goal is to be able to provide care for your pets, while also doing our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 to prote...ct those who are vulnerable in our community. And we must do this without spreading fear. Starting as early as Monday, March 16th, we will start making the following, pre-emptive changes: 1. No walk in appointments - this is so we can prevent congestion in the waiting area, maintaining the recommended social distancing. Call ahead for your pets needs. 2. Please call ahead for medication refills - this will reduce how long you will need to wait at pickup, also helping us reduce any congestion in the waiting area. 3. We are offering curb-side pick-up call ahead (506-433-2200) and we will bring food and medications to your car, and we can meet you outside to bring your animal in for physical exams. 4. This is also the time to reduce the number of people coming into our practice - we know it's difficult to find childcare with the kids out of school, but please leave them home, or allow us to bring your pet inside for treatments/physical exam, while you wait with them in the vehicle. 5. If you have travelled outside Canada in the last 14 days or are feeling any flu like symptoms, and your pet has an urgent medical condition please call us so we can plan on a case by case basis how best to proceed for the well being of all. 6. We will be reducing our hours of operation during the next two weeks. We will also be reducing movement of staff between our two practices during this time. These measures may seem extreme at this time, but we get one chance to do this right. It is only too early until it’s too late. This is not a time for fear. This is a time for community. Let’s all do our parts to take care of each other.

Cat numbers can quickly climb out of control - spaying and neutering your cats does help.
