At 510" 175 lbs I find the Evolve Mini to be perfectly comfortable for sitting for 30 minutes (or more) and having a great sweat! A great overview article on PBMT Photobiomodulation Therapy which originally appeared in the March edition of New York magazine. Focussing on Red and Near-Infrared light the article explains, "for red and near-infrared light, scientists speculate that the light interacts with something called cytochrome c oxidase, or CCO, a photosensitive enzyme found within the mitochondria....think of it as light giving the mitochondria a little kick in the pants. it tells the cell to start making the proteins that will protect it or that will make it healthier.

Now I get it. This thing is amazing! . You're probably seeing more and more posts about infrared sauna use lately and how much people love it! . There's a reason why....We can benefit greatly when we expose our bodies to the extreme temperatures. In this case, we're inducing a temporary hyperthermia and the benefits include:... . Upregulation of Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs) which can increase immune strength, boost antioxidant pathways, and can repair misfolded proteins among other things Detoxification by flushing out toxins via sweating Improved cardiovascular health Reduction in cold and flu incidences (this is a big one currently) Reduction in stress (I use it as a meditation opportunity) Cleaner and healthier skin (through bacterial and dead skin exfoliation and sweating) And more deep sleep! (people always ask me how to get more deep sleep from their wearable trackers like @biostrap well here's one of the best secrets! . So I've been looking for an infrared sauna for a while and after doing a lot of research I found @sunstreamsaunas. You can easily find tons of information and companies online and you'll see units from as little as a $100 (those zip up tent styles-which I have also tried) all the way up to $10,000 for a large multi-person unit. . It's also important to note that I'm talking about infrared saunas here. And the distinction is that traditional or Finnish" style saunas are also great but they work by heating up the air and tend to be much larger and much more expensive to operate. So the model I use is a 2 person Evolve 360 EHS 20. The reason I chose this is because it's not too large to take up too much space. This medium size unit heats up very fast and gets extremely hot. In fact, I am still trying to work my way past 60 Degrees C (140F). It goes up to 65C(150F)! It's also been tested to have outrageously low levels of EMF which is a big deal to me. The other really cool thing is the "360" part of it. Take a closer look at it online and you'll see it has heating elements EVERYWHERE! Including on the door in front of you, behind your calves and even under your feet. You will sweat HARD in this bad boy! The other benefit of this unit is the power. This one is a 20AMP unit which meant 2 things. 1. I had to get an electrician out to put a dedicated outlet and breaker in my house. 2. It has INSANE power. Like scorching, relentless, game-changing heat! . The sauna has become one of my top #antiviral protocols during these times. I am literally in it every day! .
