For the last six months we've been working with journalist @meghanmast as she recorded and researched a feature on the team for CBC's The Doc Project(!!!). This is by far the most comprehensive piece of Super Duty Tough Work related journalism to date, taking an in-depth look at not only the record, the politics, the Polaris effect and the group's place in Canadian hip hop, but also exploring B's family's musical history, and how that's influenced him and the band (and Elton ...John). One year ago today, after three days in the vans, we played our first show of tour in Vancouver at @lanalous . It was a highlight show of the tour and a dope way to set it off, with some old friends and fam coming through unexpectedly.. Today, we're (virtually) playing the one major city we skipped on tour: Montreal. All info is available at @popmontreal or popmontreal.com. ... Also, B made everyone pose for posse shots in every city, so enjoy a selection of the super cuties. 1. Winnipeg - 'bout to hit the road 2. Somewhere in Alberta or BC, 'bout to reach Van 3. Truck stop on the way to Calgary.. haven't even played the second show and B and Olivier already fighting.. (spoiler: we were late to load-in) 4. Calgary - was wet but we ate well. Thanks to @selciofficial for setting up a tour of the @nmc_canada 5. God knows 6. Saskatoon - triggered 7. Next album cover / Olivier and Eamon making moves... 8. Toronto - Miscommunication between the venue and the team made for some interesting dynamics.. 9. Toronto - After a much needed day off and good food, we 'bout to head to Ottawa for an amazing endless sushi dinner. 10. Thunder Bay - A very kind couple let us crash at their crib, after we rolled in around 2am no less. This flic is after breakfast, right before we start the last jaunt home. More to come...
