The Supporting Roles Story Supporting Roles Interactive Training Inc. is a boutique firm of the finest business actors working in the field of executive development today. Based on client feedback Supporting Roles knows how significant the benefits are from its involvement. Companies make major investments in training, but can fall short of the mark when it comes to selecting the right delivery methods for certain content and that is where Supporting Roles can really help. S...upporting Roles provides creative, engaging solutions with substance and proven results. Supporting Roles can help a company achieve its goals, even transform people’s thinking, and make concepts take root in ways that people can apply long after they leave the classroom. Supporting Roles’ mission is to transform corporate learning and development around the world and to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those it gets the opportunity to work with, through the use of actors and creative contributions. Formed in 1997 by CEO Anne Coughlan, Supporting Roles sources and develops actors who can credibly play high-level executives or whatever the requirements are of the various industries we are working in. Supporting Roles’s core business is to offer custom solutions to meet learning objectives; provide off the shelf programs on various topics and improv sessions; offer full production facilities for custom-made training video production; and other related creative services. There are ongoing benefits for Supporting Roles’ clients to have access to a vetted creative network for various projects. As a leader in the field of corporate role play, Supporting Roles’ pool of highly trained, professional actors have extensive experience performing business simulations and training scenarios. If a company wants to make its training programs more engaging, dynamic and interactive, Supporting Roles can help by: Incorporating actors into a company’s existing training and executive coaching programs. Working with a company to develop custom made training solutions based on its specific learning objectives. Producing professionally written, acted, directed and edited training videos. Delivering business Improv sessions where participants learn skills that help them deal with workplace challenges. Supporting Roles employs more actors with more regularity than the majority of the publicly funded theatres in Canada. Often even big theatre companies are producing work with very few actors on stage and often those ranks are very closed. Supporting Roles is not a huge manufacturing firm, so it’s not a workforce of the thousands, but SR takes pride in being able to hire and develop about 70 actors every year.
