Here at SUP Rebel we wanted to reward those that want to do something to help the environment, but feel they can't make a real difference. So we're starting a new campaign this season called 3-Piece Thursdays! Anyone can come for a FREE Evening Harbour Tour on Thursday for May and June! All they have to do is send us a picture of them picking up 3 pieces of garbage while out and about (example: hiking up Mt. Finlayson, going to work, paddling along the coast) on Instagram or Twitter (@sup_rebel), Facebook (facebook.com/suprebelvic - don't forget to tag us!), or email ([email protected]). Well, it came down to the wire, but with careful consideration and a heavy heart we are postponing the Paddle 2 Seattle for one month. with a strong wind warning still posted for the Juan De Fuca Strait for this afternoon and evening, as well as tomorrow, its would be unwise for us to embark on this journey. We have put our hearts and souls into this event for months, and it is hard for us to admit defeat, but our mantra for any multi-day excursion is "safety first" so in light of that, we are going to be postponing for one month. Today, at 9am we will be at clover point to pick up garbage and stare into the abyss, please come join us for this earth day celebration we will have bags, gloves and coffee! Thank you all for your support, and we hope for your continued support as we go ahead and plan for our upcoming launch.

So we are in the home stretch of this event and everything is coming down to what the weather is going to do in the strait this weekend. as of right now there is a wind warning in effect that may derail our whole plan. Rain or shine we will be at clover point with gear to clean up the beach, if the wind warning stays in effect we may be forced to change the paddle to another date. :( we will keep everyone posted and hopefully will see you at clover point at 9am!

Is this the bore you're looking for?! To celebrate the filming of parts of the new Star Wars film in the Forest of Dean, Stormtroopers have surfed the famous Severn bore.

The SUP Rebel team hit the water today with the Trial Islands Lighthouse in our sights. Not only did we get to explore the restricted island, and see some of the beautiful endangered plant species, but we were lucky enough to get a tour of the grounds AND the lighthouse!! We got a lot of awesome footage and an interview with Merideth the lighthouse keeper that we are going to be releasing very soon on our youtube channel! Stay tuned and keep digging!

Once in a while things get crappy. That's when you have to choose to have a "be better" day and rise above that which is trying to pull you down . Don't give up. Hit the gym instead. Be better than you were yesterday.

I love that our "business day" is to paddle from Jordan River to Mystic Beach, exploring a roaring waterfall and then being awed by the wave action against the cliffs by the Mystic waterfall...counted 7-8 individual sea lions, a bunch of curious little seals, and an assortment of water birds. The stoke factor is high for the SUP Rebel team <3

What an awesome day at the MEC Paddlefest 2015!! Great atmosphere, cool info booths, and amazing effort by the MEC volunteers and staff and all the company's who did demo's and clinics. Personally, the SUP Rebel team had a wickedly fun time teaching clinics! Can't wait to do it next year!! Sappy alert!!: Some days when you are starting a business, especially one that requires you to be physical, you get so exhausted you just want to disappear for a few days and hole yourself up off in the boonies on a board with your camping gear. We wanted to get some pics from some new promo material we are about to release, so we put the call out to whoever could make it to our dock at 450 Swift st within half an hour, these 6 lovely ladies made it out and it was one of the most enjoyable tours we have been on! This west coast landscape is literally our office at SUP Rebel, and we are blessed to live in such a gorgeous, kind and accepting country. We were equal rights before it was cool, we stand up for what we believe and we are proud of who we are and where we live. So no matter where you are in the world, hold up a beer and toast to one of the greatest countries on earth.
