The Koepe Hoist Beam flip was one BIG success! What makes this so special? This 71 ton beam was lifted at 118% of our cranes capacity. To do so our engineering team needed to complete an over capacity safe work plan for our shop to follow. Next up, the blank girder will be fitted and welded with an additional 20 tons of stiffeners before being jacked up for load out to paint. #WeAreSteel #Innovation #Supreme

Happy Canada Day! Featuring the beautiful Calgary, Alberta skyline, home to the 45,000 ton 58 story Bow Tower. The Supreme fabricated and installed high rise was completed in 2012, and today is still considered the 3rd tallest office tower in Canada, outside of Toronto.

As part of our proprietary Production Progressing Application (PPA) technology we are able to track our time with a clock in and out system. Additionally, we have the capability to make modifications to our login system. In the shop, our primary cost currency is time but we must also know and understand the other day-to-day project costs that we face. Recently, Supreme implemented a tablet run proprietary Production Progressing Application (PPA) technology. With the PPA system our people have the ability to very efficiently capture the cost of labour, the amount of steel consumed, shop supplies and maintenance costs. Supreme Group would like to extend a huge thank you to The Mosaic Company - Canada for getting Western Canadians back to work. In late April, Supreme finalized an agreement with Mosaic that will see thousands of hours of work executed by both our offsite fabrication team as well as our field construction crews for their K3 project in Esterhazy. Although this project will only fill a fraction of Supreme shop and field capacity, the scope of work is challenging and will requir...e expert coordination and planning. We are most grateful to have the trust of both Mosaic and Hatch Hatch to deliver this world class project. Please note: The Mosaic Company, Hatch and the Supreme Group are carefully adhering to COVID-19 precautions and safety measures to ensure that the health and safety of all of our workers comes first. Onsite construction is set to begin later this year.

Supreme Group is proud to announce that Todd Collister, P.Eng, is the new Chairman of the CISC Board of Directors. Todd looks forward to bringing his 30 years of steel expertise to this new role and working with the rest of the CISC Board in supporting CISC President, Ed Whalen and staff over the next two years. Todd has provided leadership at many levels and has been very active with the CISC for the past 20 years. Todd helped develop the CISC Quality Certification program... for structures and a national apprentice program for Steel Detailers. Todd chaired the CISC National Bridge Committee twice since the subcommittees inception in 2006 and helped develop the CISC Quality Certification Program for Bridges in that role. Todd also worked to establish the CISC "Steel Centre" at his alma mater, the University of Alberta, and actively supports ongoing steel research.
