So amazing! Brings new means to the term Lionhearted!!
Thank you to the Emergency Community Support Fund and Surrey Cares! This essential funding has enabled the Christmas Bureau to continue to operate and serve the vulnerable in our community while keeping our clients, volunteers and staff safe and healthy. Merry Christmas!
The good folks from @FortisBC Warm Hearts Foundation certainly warmed our hearts with these wonderful gifts !
Always a pleasure to welcome Harvey from the Victor Ghirra Toy Drive! Thank you so much for all you do for so many families each and every year
Our good friends from Circle K popped in with loads of toys and gift cards for teens! Just in time for our busiest day of the year! Thank you!
Toys toys toys! We need them! Boys and girls, all ages really but 8 to 12 right now especially! The pandemic has required us to begin toy distribution early so we can safely socially distance, but that also means we need toy donations early. If you are out and about tomorrow and would like to support us, please drop off new, unwrapped toys or financial donations to our Toy Depot at 13853-104Ave. The former Funky Monkey play centre. No clothing or stuffies please. THANK YOU!

The COVID19 pandemic has impacted every Canadian, families have lost loved ones, many parents have lost jobs and are in very precarious financial situations. It is only September, yet Moms and Dads across our city are already calling into the Christmas Bureau to ensure we will be operational this year. These parents are desperate to give their children a Merry Christmas, to provide a normal happy occasion in the midst of the uncertainty of the times. We will indeed be open. T...he Surrey Christmas Bureau is committed to ensuring that parents will be able to fill stockings and put lovingly wrapped gifts under their Christmas tree; that families will be able to enjoy the all-important delicious Christmas dinner with their loved ones, safe in their bubble, together. The comfort of these simple traditions has never been more important. We are working on our COVID19 safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, clients and community partners. One major change is that registration will be done online this year. Stay tuned for details. Full step by step instructions and a link to the secure registration application will be uploaded to the Register for Help page of our website very soon. Stay tuned for more info but rest assured ....

On this day Sept 8th, 2001 we lost our Mother Semo. It's been 19 years but everyday she is with us in all that we do. Many of you know that we hold our annua...l INSPIRE event around November each year but this year due to the pandemic, we won't be hosting a major gathering of people. Therefore, we are announcing on this day that the fundrasier effort will still be held in the same month with an online auction and other related activities. With your upcoming support we will be able to provide additional funds for holiday fundraising efforts for the likes of Surrey Christmas Bureau, Surrey Food Bank, FRAFCA, Team Keian and other local individuals. Please stay connected for our future updates, emails and other follow ups. We look forward to your support and in making #INSPIRE2020 count "Maa... we got this" - SEMO's Army

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing well and staying safe. Any sewing experts out there looking for a project? We are going to need masks for our volunteer family. Here’s a handy pattern, if you are able to help, thank you!! Any surplus masks will be distributed to our clients. All sizes of masks will be needed... (remember, some of us have chubbier cheeks than others ) https://sarahmaker.com/how-to-sew-a-surgical-face-mask-for/
The Sasquatch 4 Wheelers Club has been a long time supporter of the Bureau, hosting an annual ride and toy drive with a pancake breakfast - an event that is the favourite of many of our volunteers! This year, sadly, due to the pandemic they had to ..... change gears . Unable to host an event, they still wanted to support the Christmas Bureau so they fundraised and popped in with a very generous cheque today. Thank you all!!!
