4 Surrey For Future teams joined yesterday's Global Day of Climate Action with #bannerdrops in #surreybc to #FightClimateInjustice. We demand a livable future!
Some images from the first banner build just yesterday. I would show you the whole thing unfurled, but at 20 feet it's not something I can do easily! You'll have to wait until September 25th

Surrey has been losing tree canopy as long as we have been recording it, but the city counts this as being "stable"! Call or write your mayor and council telling them you want to protect the Green City Fund and trees in Surrey! https://www.surreyforfuture.ca/greencityfund

Click through for a list of council emails, a backgrounder, and a sample email to send to council. Make sure to customize the email if you have the time, it has much more impact if you do!
For Our Kids is a supportive and creative climate advocacy group aimed at parents and grandparents. This thank you card from the future was their August action. If you are looking for a fun way to get involved with climate advocacy, please reach out to them. Surrey for Future has had great experiences working with them!

Bill Morneau is said to be one of the primary decision-makers when it comes to buying the TransMountain pipeline (TMX), and one of the fossil fuel industry’s closest allies in cabinet. Since COVID, he has been hiding the pipeline’s increasing costs, so... https://350.org/canada/tmxcost/
