SUTCLIFFE FARMS 2020 and a COVID 19 UPDATE A message to our VALUED ASPARAGUS Customers In light of the new daily challenges we all face as a result of COVID 19 we wanted to take this opportunity to wish you well. Stay safe, stay healthy. Thank you for your continued support, offers of assistance and genuine concern. ... We are preparing for our season in the best and safest way we know how. In preparation for our 54th asparagus season, we wanted to update you about some of the changes we are implementing on the Farm to ensure the overall safety of our product, our customers, our community, and our employees. We hope open by Monday May 4th. We will continue to update our Facebook page and let you know when the asparagus is ready at our retail outlet. PLEASE don’t hesitate to call us to check in on the asparagus season, especially when you see lots of sunshine and warmer overnight temperatures, 250.428.2734. OUR RETAIL OUTLET Our retail outlet will look very different this year. We encourage you to utilize our new curbside pick up and local delivery services. You will need to call in advance to prearrange payment, and a pickup and or delivery time. Please call the Farm at 250.428.2734 at least one day in advance to make your arrangements. Our retail hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM seven days a week. If you arrive in person at the farm to purchase asparagus, please be advised there will only be one person at a time allowed in the retail area. The markers on the entrance ramp will give you social distancing parameters. You will be required to enter by the ramp and exit by the stairs. There will be plexiglass shields for our retail staff and plexiglass shields to protect our product. We will continue to accept cash, debit card and credit card payments. EMPLOYEES We have been receiving applications for employment since the beginning of January. We made changes to our regular hiring protocol. These changes were necessary for the health and safety of our employees, many who have been with us for a number of years and have become our family. As a condition of employment, our employees committed to a voluntary fourteen day self-isolation and daily health checks in our camp prior to the beginning of the season. We are happy to report we just completed our 14 days of self-isolation. We are healthy and ready to get to work. We will continue to self-isolate throughout the season. We sincerely appreciate our employees commitment to everyone’s health and well being. As well, we are so grateful to our friends who are making cloth masks for all our employees. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to each of you. We look forward to seeing and speaking with you this season from an ‘appropriate’ social distance. THANKS once again for your continued support.
