The importance of smaller steps. Love it

I think many people still see HR's function as doing "the hiring and firing". Trust me - it's so much more. I may not directly generate revenue from sales, but what I do certainly affects the bottom line. I can design and implement programs that reduce overtime and improve attendance and performance. I firmly believe in the Keep It Simple philosophy, so I like to streamline or adapt processes that result in time savings. I also add value through the intangibles. I see my role as building positive relationships, communicating standards and expectations to employees, and then helping them achieve those standards. I like to create a work environment where people like their jobs and look forward to coming to work every day. And I love seeing people succeed!
