Performed Rudram at Natyanjali event organized by Sri Anagha Dutta Society. In Hinduism, God is considered to be full of attributes and attribute less at the same time. We made an effort to explain this dual nature of lord Shiva through this dance. This piece talks about the cosmic and the rescuing nature of god Shiva as well as his relationship with the sarpas. In the first part of the dance, Shiva not only relieves the pain caused by the poison from the visha Sarpas but also relieves the pain of Sarpas caused by Garuda. Some of the lyrics are borrowed from Rudram added with catchy mridangam jathis. In the later part, the contradictory attributes of Shiva and Parvathi are performed based on the Ardhanareeswara stotram.
