Need spill response planning, monitoring, and mitigation during HDD pipeline installation? _________________________________ We are proud to have been a part of the world's longest (13,158 ft.) HDD crossing under Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota. Proper design, planning, and execution by Kinder Morgan Inc. and their contractors led to successful project completion without causing disturbance to the sensitive aquatic receptor. The pipeline connects natural gas production facilities with processing plants which will reduce the amount of flaring required.

The training program developed by Elastec and SWAT provided responders from all over the world with hands-on training to the highest levels. In these photos, spill response history was made when crews deployed over 1000’ feet of hard conta...inment boom in a river that spans over 500’ wide and moving at over 2.5 mph with the use of only two (2) ELASTEC BoomVanes in 1.5 hours. This type of installment has never been completed and it proves that with the use of limited amount of specialized equipment and trained responders, containment is possible on the largest of river systems.
