Sweet as Honey Apiaries

My last batches of soap are setting. The rest are curing. They’ll be perfect just in time for market season. Now to tackle some honey extraction...

Swarm season has found my bee farm. I came home this afternoon to collect my first swarm. Lucky for me it stayed close to home and was only about twenty feet up in the tree, so these bees will still be around to contribute to the honey production this year.

I popped open the hives briefly today to put on some pollen supplement and sugar to help the girls make it through to the dandelion bloom. It was lovely to spend some time with them again.
