Sweet Inspirations

When I met Yani and Iyan to talk about their wedding cake, one thing I know was for sure about her: she wants NOT a white cake. She was all about teal and purple. With all the hype and trend for the peach/nude/pastel wedding color motif this year, I thought that teal and purple seem to be too much for a summer wedding. Something I wouldn't go for if this is my wedding...but this isn't my wedding. ;) So I start imagining of teal colored icing, moon vista carnations, dark lavander roses and a touch of green dendrobium; gold foil for the cupacakes piped with white rosette icing. As always, it was fun putting all these together and in the end, it actually exuded this tropical vibe I didn't know I'll achieve..something that I think I would want for my own wedding. Someday. Haha

Sometimes, imperfect icing makes so much sense. #nervwedding Thanks A for asking me to make your wedding cake and I hope K is just as pleased!
