Wreaths and chicken headed into Halifax December 1st for delivery. Wreaths - evergreens are still available to order. Rosehips, dusty miller, dried amaranthus, beech leaves, cones, bows available to jazz them up. Still have a *limited* amount of dried material left for a few more. We've been loving the weather this November. Yesterday, we were able to finish shaping up beds in a new field. Apart from our 'main' field area we are looking forward to spending more time in our back pasture - a place wonderfully secluded and special. Hope you are getting some sunshine, too .

Wreath season is upon us. We've been working on our dried and evergreen wreaths again this year. You will be able to find them at the @chesterfarmers.artisansmarket Christmas market on November 29th, the @lunenburgfarmersmarket starting in December, and at our farm. Thanks to the generous Kevin Veinotte, who let us use his shop, we now have bone-in chicken pieces as well as whole bird in our freezers available for sale. All our chicken is certified free-range. The best way to get some of this goodness is to come to our farm. But, we will be doing another round of deliveries again soon - both within the Tri-town area and Halifax. We will be away from the @lunenburgfarmersmarket for the month of November while we prepare our farm for winter. We are continuing with the LFM online shop where you can find our eggs, greens, and dried bouquets. We are grateful to be a part of such a wonderful, year-round market with such dedicated customers, vendors, and staff. The 2020 season would have been very different without you.

Hey there! We've had new followers recently and thought we should introduce ourselves. We are Chris and Mhari of Sweet Fern Farm. We are young market gardeners in it for the long haul. We produce veggies, herbs, flowers and pastured eggs and chicken. We love our little farm and the abundance it provides for our community and markets. One of our favourites parts about growing plants is where it all begins - the seed. We spent a season in 2014 learning about seed growing and have since been fascinated with how such small objects can hold so much information, so many stories. And my, they can be beautiful.
