a golf cake, but make it cupcakes! going through my photos I realize I have a bunch of orders that I never posted! made this pull-a-part cupcake cake for a golf lover’s 60th birthday celebration a while back citrus + red velvet cakes topped with vanilla bean swiss meringue buttercream + fondant decor
I don’t know what ever happened to this cake I posted earlier in 2020, but it disappeared so here it is again! Spicy cheddar cornbread cake, filled with chilli vanilla bean buttercream, bacon crumble pieces + wild bc blueberries. anyway, hope your 2021 is off to a great start, and I’m looking forward to creating more random flavours like this one
2020. I’m focusing on the positives of this past year extra time with Ranger that I normally wouldn’t have gotten my family is healthy, aside from my nana who is recovering from another fall ... we now know about and are prepared for R’s severe cashew allergy I’ve connected with so many people on social media who have become friends (bakers, cake artists, bloggers, friends of friends) R has grown into a brilliant, challenging and loving almost 2 year old who loves going to school over the year we have spent so much more time outside, enjoying the good and bad weather, puddle jumping and flower picking I’ve had more opportunities to try new cake techniques and try to discover something more my style rather than copying others- still a work in progress as mama life takes over more than you know I have reorganized my priorities and goals for the present and the future; and am excited to see where this hopefully great new year leads me and my family Happy New Year to you and yours! impressive inspiration it couldn’t have worked out better to have an order that I could add my own flare to, line up with the #floralbuttercreamimpressions collab hosted by @foodiepharmababe and @rosalialey (well, one day late but ) I’ve always loved Vanessa’s technique using leaves and florals to transfer unique natural art to her cakes, and am even more in love now that I’ve tried it myself ... also, unrelated but wanted to thank you all once again for your support in The Greatest Baker contest, I placed 10th and am happily cheering on my fellow bakers running for the finals! I’ve wanted to post this cake for a while and what a better time to announce that I’ve entered The Greatest Baker competition! I’ve put so much into learning this trade, through lots of schooling, watching videos and reading books. It’s something I love; my pastry chef day job and working on Sweetly Sifted, building a client base for the future. I would love any support via votes or sharing the info with any and all, the link is below!
