Im loving the fabric choices for this custom windowed mask order & how well they coordinate!

Theres a fair number of new people following me here, so I figured its time for a little introduction! Im Kara, owner & creator of Sweet Peach Stitchery Co. Ive been sewing since I was a kid (taught by my mama & baba), but Sweet Peach Stitchery just began in June of this year with the intention of selling baby bows & fabric bunting and has quickly morphed into mostly masks! Aside from being a sewist, Im mama to my three wonderful littles (and one fur baby ), wi...fe to my husband of 10.5 years , teacher of French (just got keys to my new school today!), chocoholic (but it must be dark), thrift shopper extraordinaire (nothing beats the thrill of the hunt... if I had time I would love to share my spoils on a dedicated insta account), wedding photographer (David + Kara Wedding Imagery) and travel addict (when there isnt a pandemic happening). Its a little crazy at our house. But my sewing setup is in the kitchen and Im productive when I get time to myself (thanks, David!!). Ill be slowing down posting (and making) as the school year ramps up, but for now, sewing is keeping me sane in the midst of all the (many) current unknowns! Thanks for following along with my sewing adventures and for your wonderful support. I seriously have the best customers ever; my little idea of Sweet Peach Stitchery Co. has become more than I couldve imagined! Just keep sewing, just keep sewing...

These jewel masks are being added to my boys mask stash because my 4 year old wants to be a jeweler when he grows up (and I am allllll about encouraging that goal ). I have fabric to make two more of these - send me a message if youd like one for yourself!

Ta-da! My 10-pocket teacher apron is complete. Im obsessed with all things shiny, so all the golden-accented fabric has me . Now Ill have my essentials with me as I go class to class and I can avoid placing my personal items on many different surfaces throughout the day.

This afternoons back-to-school sewing project for the boys: a reusable easy-open sandwich bag made of easily wiped, waterproof PUL fabric & nylon thread. Im going to make them some smaller snack-sized bags as well. Are you interested in seeing something like this in the shop? Id love to know what you think!

Today Im working away on building the mask stash of my boys dreams for the upcoming school year. I love their eclectic array of requests (these are just a few): Eiffel Towers, pink tie dye, monster trucks, Rubiks cubes, baseballs.

Ive been sewing away, catching up on orders after a long weekend with the fam, but am finally getting around to posting photos of this beauty! This mask has the prettiest peacock blue interior and is now live in the shop.

Yesterdays special project was *insert drumroll* a pair of outdoors-inspired cinch-up Lego play mats! A super-soft, durable canvas bottom, sides to keep the blocks contained, plenty of room for 2 boys to roll around, and cord in the sides to cinch up the mat for storing your blocks when playtime is over. Thanks to a special customer who brought this cool ideaI think we need at least one of these at our house.

Working away on a special order today, not a mask (for a change ). Any guesses?

I love this pattern for little girls! I wish Miss Peach was older only so she could wear one of these. Otherwise, I wish she would stay tiny forever.

Today marks two months of Sweet Peach Stitchery Co.s existence! Here are my three minis on our daily mail run this morning, dropping off 17(!) orders to ship across the country. This little venture has far exceeded any expectations what I thought would be a little side gig to sell some bows has quickly morphed into a nearly full-time endeavour making and selling masks, and instead of just covering the cost of my fabric for some fun sewing, this has become a welcome stead...y stream of income to help us out since our wedding photography business has been a bust for the 2020 wedding season, for obvious reasons. I am so grateful to you, my wonderful customers (especially the many returning customers- what a high compliment to have your repeat business!) for your support! Many thanks also to my parents whove pitched in with ironing metres of fabric (among many other things) and, most of all, to my supportive partner, David, whos done more than his fair share of running the house of late, in addition to lots of graphic design and photo editing work for me. I cant believe its already the second week in August, which means my return to the classroom after an extended maternity leave is impending, and my sewing time will soon be very limited. I intend on continuing Sweet Peach Stitchery Co., but will not have nearly the time to devote to it as I have had this summer. Thanks to you for continuing to follow along my sewing adventures! A few stats from June 10-August 10 for anyone who loves numbers as much as my boys: - 230+ cotton masks made - 55+ windowed masks made - more than 1500m of thread used!

I went fabric shopping (again) this morning and couldnt resist these fun prints for my boys! Glow-in-the-dark dinosaur bones, airplanes, and Rubiks cubes! I likely wont have time to get these up in the shop, but I will have enough to make a few more masks; message me if youd like one and I will hook you up!
