Can’t go wrong with a little taste of summer in the middle of winter! ... This photo from 1-year-ago popped up in my personal memories today! This is where the inspiration for Sweetpea Sweetshop was born! I have always loved to bake since I was a little girl baking with my grandma! So when Ella came along (who my mother calls Sweetpea), I knew baking with her and making memories in the kitchen like my grandma (and mom too) did with me, would be something I wanted to share with Ella too! Ella is 4 months old in this picture...and this is right abo...ut the same time I started to bring her into the kitchen next to me as I baked! Flash forward a year and Ella is now 16 months old and Daddy has been commissioned to build Ella a kitchen helper safety step stool so Ella can really start to be part of the action baking with mama! I love the warm glow of our Christmas Tree! Decorating with a one-year-old mesmerized by every ornament as it went on the tree had it’s challenges...thankfully most of our ornaments aren’t breakable, and what is, is up high! Fingers crossed she learns look, don’t touch really quickly! LOL! ... Tomorrow we decorate the rest of house...Ella’s little face is going to light up! Covid-19 Contactless Pickup Update! Well seems I have to switch things up for contactless porch pickups...moving forward customers will be asked to message me when they have arrived at my residence and I will then place their order on the step for contactless pick up before they exit their vehicle! I had a customer’s order for Hot Chocolate Bombs stolen from my step just now while I was home in the few minutes they sat there before the customer arrived to pick up! ... I hope whoever stole them needed them more than my paying customer did! The opportunity will not present itself for it to happen again! Update Part 2: I am happy to report that it turns out the order was not stolen! I just received a call from the lady that mistakenly took the package from my step. She had been at work until now and just realized the mistake. She had gone to the wrong address and had even left money in my mailbox for the item she was intending to pickup. What are the odds that I would also happen to have something on my step when this person arrived at the wrong address. The lady contacted me from the info listed on my business card attached to the bag and we have straighten out this honest mistake. Due to Covid-19 I will be replacing my customer’s order with a new order regardless. I will continue to have customers message me when they arrive to pick up their orders to ensure no future mishaps.
