Great little video on mite testing.
Fraser hive is the only one that survived the winter and she’s back with a bang! Lots of nice brood and honey starting to fill up the frames.
Ideas for the garden. Bee season is here.
This university in London taught bees how to play soccer.
I’ve been getting lots of questions about what the bees are doing right now. The bees are all tucked into their hives for winter. Each hive has roughly 300lbs of honey plus an emergency backup of food. Two of the hives look great and I’m confident they’ll make it through winter. One hive is a little on the weaker side because the colony had a weak queen and replaced her mid season so we’ll see how they fair. I will post again in spring and let everyone know the status of the bees. Thanks for all your support, Sweet River Honey
