Dear Clients, This is a thank you to all who allow me alongside them on their healing journey. My heart and "bucket" are full this week as I take a step back and think of all the incredible women and children (and a few good men too) who have come into my space and taken ownership and responsibility for living their best life. To the Mom's that were tired after shuffling kids around and managing homes and businesses and navigating this strange time right now, thank you for... showing up and taking time for yourself and your needs so that you can lead your children and families in the best way possible. You are all incredibly strong women and I admire each and every one of you for the kindness and love you show. to this world. It is such a privilege to sit and hold space for you. To the families that showed up exhausted and frustrated having just had another fight their tween or teens who are pushing all the right buttons and left you feeling like stuck on a bad emotional roller coaster ride, thank you for being open and willing to learn new skills and new ways of parenting, even when your parents did it differently or weren't there for you at all. You want to break the cycle, you want to give your children the best parts of you and ensure they know they are safe and loved. I admire your strength and dedication to your family and feel honoured to be able to support you on this parenting journey. To the kids that show up every week in my office managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, self -esteem issues, bullying, school stress and so much more, THANK YOU for being so brave and courageous and showing up despite the doubts that you have. Your resilience and ability to move through the obstacles in your life takes my breath away. I often believe I can feel my heart growing inside my chest when you show me your infinite capacity to love and find gratitude in face of all of life's difficulties. To those that cry on my couch, thank you for showing me how important vulnerability is to growth and change. To those that laugh and find the humour in the darkest of days thank you for showing me that joy is a choice and a gift to honour. Finally, to those of you that have shared my name to others that are seeking counselling for life challenges I can not express to you enough how it fills me up to know that you trusted me enough to share your personal experience with someone else in order to support them in their time of need. Welcome to our Fall Girls Group and first online edition. The success of our previous groups was amazing so I listened and its been adjusted so that we can reach you online now too. If you have a teen 13-16 who is struggling with self esteem, self confidence or body image this is a great place to start. This 3 part online group aims to equip and empower our girls with the tools and strategies they need to build their self confidence from the inside out. Through self love, reflection and some evidence based strategies we will work together to build each other up and embrace our individuality and uniqueness. Deeper actually

I was guilty of this in my own life for many years. It took a long time for me to realize the damage I was doing by staying. If there is a abuse, high dysfunction or high conflict in your relationship you need to find support and take a step back to evaluate the things you might be missing while thinking it’s best for the kids. Children require happy, loving parents (1 or two or more!) who show through their actions not their words how to love themselves and model healthy relationships.

Charlie just learned it’s not his office day and he’s not so happy about it He’s going to have to find some other ways to entertain himself unfortunately. He’ll be back in tomorrow to show off his new haircut though! Happy Wednesday, Charlie and I both wish everyone an amazing day!

This is so accurate and powerful. What compassionate therapy can provide for many people is the ability to recognize and embrace the parts of you that need hea...ling. Learning to slow down and acknowledge your own pain and tending to your unhealed wounds with love and compassion for yourself alllows for healthier ways of being to emerge. If we skip that work, if we ignore the part that we play in our own suffering and unhappiness by not addressing these scars then the likelihood of repeating those same unhealthy habits and patterns again is high. Take time to care for yourself and your emotional needs like you would for your children or loved ones. When we prioritize our own emotional and mental well being it allows for us to give back to our relationships more fully. When we are at our best, we attract better things/people, we give more freely and we love more completely. See more
