Today, May 1st, is World Maternal Mental Health Day. It’s a super important day to me personally, because I experienced a PostPartum Mood Disorder (PPMD) afte...r the births of my two youngest. And both times were completely different than each other. I know how important it is to talk about our stories and experiences because it was (still is) an important part of my healing journey. I had this voice in my head telling me all kinds of negative things about myself and my mothering, but it was so much quieter on the days when I talked HONESTLY about how I was feeling. So I’d like to share my story with you all today in hopes of helping someone out there feel less alone in their struggles right now.
