2020 brought many challenges for Sweet Treasures there were months of intense renovations, which kept us BUSY during lockdown, the official move to our very own building, panic over how we could survive the season without tourism, and finally opening amid the pandemic. The year also brought many successes, our shop appeared in a Netflix TV series, we were featured in two newspaper articles, Bluenose Academy students made us beautiful, artwork which provided much happiness... during a dark time and we discovered that moving forward, our season will now include Christmas (thank you to everyone who supported that endeavour!) And, after years of sitting on the chest freezer to make phone calls, I finally have my very own office, which, thanks to my husband is now equipped with a Boss Lady placard. Thank you to everyone who supported us through our most challenging year to date. We can’t wait to serve everyone in 2021, and share our seating area with you!

One of the best perks at 110 Montague, is being nearer to Lunenburg’s Subway owner, Elsa. She is such a great neighbour, always helping out, and admittedly, I need a lot of help! To say the least, she saved a trapped raccoon from our compost, allowed us to use her freezer this summer during our freezer crisis, and she is always a smiling face. Today she delivered Christmas gifts for my children and check out that wrapping paper! ... Oh my heart! The neighbourly way. See more
