Happy #FeatureFriday Folks! We are back this week to share another member of our #SWT team. This week's person came to us in July of 2017. Introducing... Travis Retzlaff. If you've ever been over at our Fert Shed, he is a familiar face. Travis is one of our three Fertilizer Warehouse Operators but you can occasionally find him helping out the grain crew in the Plant. Travis grew up in the area, being one of the locals he graduated from the Gull Lake High School. He t...hen moved to Lethbridge to get his Heavy Duty Mechanic ticket . Travis was raised on a cattle ranch near Gull Lake, SK. Where he helped his family work with roughly 180 head of cattle . In his spare time you can find Travis working on the farm or tinkering with project vehicles . His favorite foods are Copenhagen, and of course steak and potatoes . His favorite sports teams are the Vancouver Canucks and the Denver Broncos . When we asked Travis what his favorite thing about SWT was, he said "my co-workers". Well Trav, I know they enjoy working with you too. SWT and your team appreciates everything you do, day in and day out! Thanks for being apart of what make our operations team so successful. Celebrating over 25 years! Thank-you to our longest standing Board Memberthe Chairman of the Board Rhett Allison. Rhett has been a part of SWT since about 1993 when the initial discussions of SWT were taking place around the coffee table. That would have him directly involved with #SWT for about 28 yearscrazy! Hopefully, once we are able to get together in person again, we can hear some of the back room discussions of those early years of SWT and to where we’ve grown to... today. This gift of custom golf clubs and bag are just a small token of the appreciation we all have for the years of service Rhett has given and continues to give to this great company as a Director, Customer, Mentor and Leader. Hope you can put them to good use, Rhettand think of SWT every time you hit a sweet shot! If these don’t improve your gameat this point in your career, nothing will. Happy Friday Everyone! It's been quite some time since we did a #FeatureFriday but here we are, back to share another one of our amazing team members! This week's person began with #SWT back in June of 2019. Introducing... Benita McMillan! Benita is our Senior Accountant located at our head office in Antelope, SK. She has a Bachelor of Administration Degree from the University of Regina and has her CPA, CA designation. Benita has a #farming background, as she grew up ...on a grain farm. Her favorite hobbies are scrap-booking and quilting . She's really quite talented! Aside from her hobbies, she spends much of her time chasing her children around. If she has the choice, her favorite meal is spaghetti. Yum! Like many of us here in Sask her favorite team is the Saskatchewan Roughriders! #DieHardFan When we asked Benita what her favorite thing about working for SWT was, she said "the people". Well Benita, we all enjoy working with you too. Although unfortunately we don't get to see enough of you these days! Thank you for everything you do and always keeping us on track! Thanks for being you! As Monty says "keep up the good work kid"!

And just like that it's 2021! Although 2020 didn't look quite like any of us had planned, we cannot say thank you enough for all the hard work put in by our staff, our customers and our visitors. We appreciate each of you taking every step necessary to ensure our operations went as smoothly as possible and for keeping all of us safe. Antelope, Saskatchewan South West Terminal (SWT) is very excited to share the details of loading and launching CanadianPacific’s (CP) largest grain train from a single elevator. With this train, a new record has been set for largest grain train loaded and launched on the Canadian prairies from SWT’s Antelope location. The train, headed for Superior Elevator at the Port of Thunder Bay, included 224 hopper cars containing 22,223 metric tonnes of durum. https://swt.ca/media/swtcp224/

Happy Friday Everyone. We are here to introduce you to the next SWT person of the day! This week we proud to introduce you to ... Julia Stanford! Julia started her career with SWT in March 2015. If you've ever been to our head office in Gull Lake, odds are you've seen her smiling face as you walk through the doors. Julia has been a part of our administrative team for the past 5 years. Julia attended Assiniboine College, Academy of Learning. Julia grew up on a sheep fa...rm in Manitoba, where they raised and trained border collies. Julia worked and lived on a military base for 5 years, before her husband was released and they made their way to Gull Lake, SK. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and her pets! Her favorite type of food is from under the sea. Like many of us located around Swift Current, her favorite sports team is the Swift Current Broncos! When we asked Julia what her favorite thing about working for SWT was, she said "the people" . Well Julia, "the people" enjoy working with you too! Everyone always appreciates the smile you have on your face and your friendly hello! Thank you for everything you do to contribute to the success of our business. Happy 19th of November everyone! We are back with another week of #FeatureFriday! This week's individual started his career with #SWT back in March 2006. Today we have the pleasure of introducing to you... Justin Isherwood! Justin or as many of you know him as "JI" , started back 15 years ago at our Antelope Terminal. Since then he has worked his way up the ranks - from Plant Operator, to the Fertilizer Warehouse Manager and now to his current role as our Grain Manager... . #HardWorkPaysOff Justin graduated high-school in Alberta but to this day is continuing his education through Athabasca University. Justin comes to us with a wealth of knowledge from the family farm and ranch . When JI has finished helping out on the farm and it's time to take a break, his favorite hobbies include any type of sports and fishing. His favorite foods are chicken wings and steak , with a citrus fizz stick to wash it all down. Oh, and if you ever want to get in his good books, #Starbucks is the key to this guy's heart . His favorite sports teams are the Huston Texans and the Calgary Flames . When we asked Justin what his favorite thing about SWT was, he said "the small company feel, with great people". Well, Justin those "great people" includes you! Thank you for everything that you have done for SWT, all the things you continue to do and all the things that are yet to come.
