The New Year is right around the corner as 2020 comes to a close, it’s been a wild ride to say the least. Take some time to reflect and recharge over these next two weeks, I will be. Let’s step it up and stay focused First off, the step up is a fantastic exercise for glute and hamstring development, improving balance, unilateral leg strength AND it is a functional movement. Its December, the season of goodies and a couple more socially distant beverages as we enjoy the holidays very soon! Stick to the basics .... ... Sleep. Listen to your body and aim for 7-8hours a night if that’s what helps you perform optimally in your day. Hydrate. This always gets me in the winter, stay hydrated and keep a bottle of water with you throughout your day. Sip, sip, and don’t try to chug it all back after dinner or else you’ll be up all night ... Movement. These times are different and some of us are working from home, longer hours, not going to a big box gym and exercising from home. Stop with the time excuse. Prioritize what is going to help you, you know it always does. Aim to move each day, even if it’s only 20-30 minutes. Stretch. Enough said, life is stressful, you work hard and the body needs to breathe.
