The Sylvan Lake Farmers’ Market was challenged to donate 24 items in 24 hours. I rushed out last night and got to it. This is a great way to donate! I challenge: Graham Parsons with SL Hockey Camp

Especially during these unprecedented times, on behalf of the Spirit of Sylvan Yuletide Festival Organizing Committee, I would like to take this opportunity t...o wish everyone the most sincere and best Holiday Wishes ever! Normally, at this time, we would be scrambling to put the final touches on our 9th Annual Festival. Vendors would be readying their wares, choirs and entertainers would be rehearsing their shows, baskets and donations for the raffles and silent auctions would be coming in and decorations would be coming out of storage. All would be ready for November 27th. Not this year, however, but, we can assure you that all is not lost! We will be back next year, hopefully, bigger and better than ever! Circle November 26th, 2021 on your calendar. In the meantime, even though the Festival Committee is collecting Food Bank donations at the ‘North Pole Drive-Thru on Saturday, Nov. 28th, there is much to be done and the real ‘Spirit of Sylvan’ can take on new meaning for 2020. It is up to all of us to come together and, even though we can’t do it with large festivals and events, individually, as families, businesses and citizens, we can still make a difference! For those fortunate enough, we can endeavor to enhance the true meaning of the season and give whatever we can to the many, many who truly need it. If you don’t know of anyone individually who needs a boost, please check with our past charitable recipients, the Sylvan Lake Food Bank, The Sylvan Lake Christmas Bureau, Sylvan Lake & Area Community Partners Association and the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre and support them generously this year. This truly can be the most meaningful Christmas ever!! To our supporters, donators and sponsors, we thank you for your years of support and we encourage you, if possible, to do the same by putting what resources you can towards the goal of building true Community Spirit. We would like to, in particular, acknowledge Canadian Tire, X-Calibur, Shoppers Drug Mart, Servus Credit Union, Townsend Electrical LTD, Sylvan Lake Farmers' Market, Nexsource Power Inc. and Terrafirma Industries for their long time cornerstone support. There are of course many others and we are so thankful for the support. Thank you for helping our Festival make a difference in our Community. Stay safe, do your part, and ‘Together we WILL do this!! It's a beautiful day for a Market! Come down and see us from 4:00 - 7:30pm today and get yummy veggies, fruits, baking, jerky, honey, wines/beer, frozen foods, meats, crafts, masks, cleaning products, and so much more. See you there! Market season ends on Sept. 25.

It’s market day! Come down from 4:00-7:30 to pick up your veggies, fruits, baking, frozen foods, treats, crafts and more. Grab a bite at the food trucks. Please remember to maintain social distancing and wear a mask if you can’t. Seniors are welcome at 3:30. The site is a little wet so prepare to dodge puddles! The limited on site parking is paid parking so don’t forget to enter your info in the parking kiosk or you might get ticketed (unless you have registered your vehicle on the residential permit). Can’t wait to see you!

Delicious baked goods, preserves, frozen foods, meats for your weekend BBQ, cheese, wine, beer, treats, crafts of various kinds and yummy food trucks. Seniors and those who are compromised are welcome to come at 3:30. Please enter at the main entrance of the parking lot and sanitize hands upon entry, limited on-site parking. Please leave 4-legged family members at home. Looking forward to seeing you today!

It's opening day!! We are so excited to see you - things will look a bit different due to the Covid-19 rules we must follow so please be patient and obey all signage. There is one entrance (new rule!) so please do not duck under the ropes surrounding the lot. Hand sanitization is also required upon entry. Remember to maintain social distancing of 2 m. We love pets but they are NOT allowed at the market (public health rule) so please leave them at home where they are safe ...and comfy. There are no seating areas (new rule!) so please take your delicious food truck goodies and eat while you walk or sit in your vehicle. Our vendors are spaced apart to help with distancing and we have lots of your favourites today as well as some new ones. We hope to see you from 4:00-7:30pm - seniors and those who are compromised are welcome to come at 3:30. See more
