Hands up if you love learning new interesting things?!! One of the BEST parts of owning a Multi-disciplinary practice is that my team will share some seriously cool research happening in their own fields!!! Then together we brainstorm joe together it can better serve our clients!! Tyler is our Breath Control Therapist at Symphony Rehab as well as the founder of @breath.therapy and he is ALWAYS reading the research! He sent me this one today and it FASCINATED ME!...! if you live with CHRONIC NECK PAIN you might want to take a read is this Scientists say that neck pain is related to poor breathing patterns and may cause changes to your breathing. This creates a vicious cycle as altered breathing patterns contribute to neck pain. In a 2014 study, 36 people with chronic neck pain were given three 30-minute sessions of breathing re-education. After the treatment, pain intensity and muscle activity were significantly less, and the range of movement in the neck and expansion of the chest and lower rib cage were much greater. The trial concluded that breathing re-education can change breathing patterns and improve neck pain symptoms. This may be due to better diaphragm function or reduced activity of the small breathing accessory muscles (Yeampattanaporn et al., 2014). Do you want to start a hybrid clinic but you’re not sure how to introduce it to clients? Are you fearful that if you tell them that their sessions will include telehealth that they’ll choose to go somewhere else ~ and so you shy away from doing what you know you want to do? In this video we outline the three different client groups that you will work with and how you can begin your hybrid model moving forward!... If you like this and would like more information about my courses click the link in my bio :) #telehealth #physicaltherapy #virtualtherapy

"Before I only thought maybe 20% of my clients would be appropriate for Telehealth.... no I realize it's more like 80%" When one of my course participants shared this with me I jumped for joy!! After going through my telehealth course, learning how I implement NOT ONLY the practice of telehealth but how, as a therapist, you can excel in this model her mindset completely changed on how she could serve her clients virtually! I haven't been shy with you all to share how ...much I LOVE the hybrid model! It's provides AWESOME benefits for both the client and YOU as the therapist! I want you to love it too!! We really have no idea what to expect come the fall - I know here, in BC, some universities aren't going back to in-person classes.... everywhere you hear about the second wave and there's this underlying tension in the air about what will happen with clinic closures again..... do you feel it? I don't want you to worry! I want you to KNOW that when that wave hits your business is SECURE! I want you to be able to do what I did the last time we closed and roll your caseload into full telehealth within a couple of days! My friends - this is your future! You get to decide how you move forward and live in this moment today! If you're interested in learning more click on the link in my bio! #telehealth #physicaltherapy #telehealthpt See more
