Hello everyone and welcome to 2021! I will now be offering appointments Monday-Thursday from 6-9pm for now.
For anyone considering working with a therapist this year to heal trauma, for self-improvement or to learn to do life and it’s challenges differently, consider this:
It's New Years Eve...the beginning of what we want to create. I never use the word "resolutions" and I do so on purpose. Rather, I use the word targets. I always ask clients to create targets of change that make them work towards something, or to change (increase or decrease something) but never to avoid something. Make sure your targets for the new year are things you can work towards...and not avoid doing.... From my family to yours....have a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve.

If we always choose the "easy way" in life, we'd be ill-equipped to handle challenges when they inevitably arise because we haven't trained for them. I say chal...lenge yourself whenever possible, and you'll be ready for anything, come-what-may.. know what I mean? It's like this: If we expect life to be smooth, we are going to be sorely disappointed and constantly complaining about every challenge, because let's face it - life isn't a smooth ride. But if we go into it knowing full well, every day, that life is an obstacle course, then it can even be a fun, duck-and-dive, adventure. I, for one, have my backpack on (literally and figuratively), and I'm excited about what's around the corner, be it a bear or a waterfall, a massive boulder to climb or an open field of wild flowers to lay on. Research never ceases to amaze me
Agreed. What do you all think? Mindset determines everything about how a day is going to go. Sometimes though, we get stuck in negative patterns of thinking that influence our emotions and behaviour. If you need help with this, connect with me and we can work together to change this.
