HARD WORK BETRAYS NONE One of the 4 pillars of #SynergyStrength is #Work - I know that no gains and no forward momentum is achieved without some work being put in by you.... We offer a #Family oriented #Community #Service that supports your efforts and can motivate and inspire your path to success, but the work is completed by you and I know you have the capacity to do it, just like Erika. Erika is a great example of #Work directed to the appropriate areas - attending #CrossFit, #Gymnastics, and #Weightlifting classes in an effort to soak up as much knowledge and ability as she can, Erika has proven her drive for improvement, to reach new heights of physical abilities, and to simply become a better version of herself. These are all admirable actions/traits and reasons why she is the recipient of the #HardWorkBetraysNone chain (was actually awarded before ,but announced today). Keep up the positive attitude and work ethic and you will be amazed at how far you will have come in only a short period of time. Welcome COACH JIL REID #SoStrong #Uuppp... - we all know Jil or at least we know when she is in the building lol. She is the fun, energetic, and loud #weightlifter in the back corner screaming up 50x a night. Jil has been a #SynergyFamily member for years and has been a leader within the club the entire time. Recently Jil has been shadowing #CFWeightlifting classes and assisting my coaching roles in #GroupClass and doing a fantastic job of it. Jil has the knowledge and eye for movement we wish to see in a coach and most importantly understands the level of energy and commitment to the #SynergyTeam member that is required to be a great coach. This understanding is why Jil will be joining our coaching team and leading Tuesday Weightlifting classes. I am happy and excited to see Jil get started as a coach and continue her leadership as a Synergy leader and role model. Monster Lift-off! Monday: Snatch Tuesday: Clean and Jerk Wednesday: Back Squat... Thursday: Bench Press Friday: Deadlift What you may not know is you have an opportunity to make up lifts you missed during the week. OR better a lift from earlier in the week to better your total score. Check those leaderboards and see if you can sneak up a few spots on your buddy! Saturday we have programmed as a make-up/redo day. OR if you hit all 5 days during the week and are happy with your results you can take a run at your MAX Thruster! Adding SPORT Yoga to your training schedule gives you an athletic and recovery edge. SPORT Yoga incorporates a blend of postures to find balance in strength and flexibility, relaxation tools to maintain a calm mind, and a multitude of breathing techniques to improve breath control. SPORT Yoga sessions will allow you to feeling strong, more flexible and re-energized as well as provide you with all the other physiological and psychological benefits of yoga. SPORT Yoga vs. Traditional Yoga Traditional yoga was not designed for athletes moving at speeds, high impact and multi-directional changes. SPORT Yoga is not solely yoga postures modified, but it incorporates movement systems that adhere to how athletes move and train in sport. It combines dynamic and static positions that build athletic recovery and capacity, joint alignment with a balance of stability and mobility. Athletes actually require a certain degree of ‘inflexibility’ to properly produce and coordinate power and speed. The MONSTER LIFT-OFF This week at #SynergyStrength we are all taking part in the #MonsterLiftOff - traditionally this was an annual one day event that athletes were challenged to take on max effort lifts of; - Snatch - Clean and Jerk... - Back Squat - Bench Press - Deadlift With the COVID restrictions in place, we are required to take a different approach to the Lift-Off this year. We will be doing one lift a day throughout the week in #GroupClass, Monday thru Friday in order listed above. Enjoy the week of personal bests and setting #BenchMarks for 2021. WEIGHTLIFTING & GYMNASTICS This week is the beginning of our newest programming offer - CF WTLFT & GYMN. This is a 1x/week program built to enhance your gymnastics and weightlifting skills. We have many program changes given the covid government updates, space and gym capacity requirements, equipment requirements, and coach schedules. Weightlifting - the goal is to enhance both the snatch and clean and jerk ... Gymnastics - the goal is to enhance; HS walking, HSPU’s, Muscle-ups (bar and rings), pistols, rope climbs, etc. We will program alternating weeks of work (wk1- gymnastics, wk2- weightlifting, etc.). These will be action packed hour sessions for all levels of athletes as we will modify and scale to meet your needs. Cost - $60/month This is the most exciting new addition to training at Synergy Strength. OPEN GYM REGISTRATION NEW - all athletes outside of #GroupClass or #JuniorSC will be required to register for training times through our app . This change will enhance our contact tracing , ensure proper number of athletes in the club at a time, and simply keep our facility the safest we can make it. Athletes are asked to;... 1. Download our app 2. Verify account with current account in system (you need to use the same email address) 3. Register for open gym at the closest time to the start of your session **we understand some will have technical issues on setup, please show up to train as usual and ask staff for assistance. We ask everyone to; 1. Continue to do a great job cleaning equipment 2. Return all equipment once cleaned back to its appropriate home to keep the gym clean 3. Show up for class as close to class start time as you can 4. As much as possible, do not hang around after class longer than necessary and try not to crowd the #CommunityArea - community matters, but we wish to keep crowds down 5. Wear your mask while moving through the club at all times. Only when in your Square and actively training should masks be taken off. 6. When it comes to living these attributes Leanne wins...hands down. This lady gives her absolute best everyday and never stops pulling. ... I mention pulling as I know of no other female at her who can output even close to the power that Leanne can. Get this lady on a #concept2rower or and #assualtbike and she hits numbers I simply cannot. Simply said, she is a beast In regard to trusting the process, Leanne shows up, puts the work in and reaps the benefits of her work. Trusting the programming, the community, and the #SynergyFamily.
