Hello friends, we're in a bit of a pinch at the moment and we're hoping someone can help us out! We're needing to find a new washing machine for our most recent arrivals, as the machine we had originally found for them kicked the bucket. Here's a real treat: To mark their 70th anniversary, UNHCR has published a cookbook called Tastes from Home" filled with recipes shared by resilient individuals who left their country of origin to make a home in Canada. It's a great way to experience the rich cultural backgrounds and traditions of former refugees through the food that has special meaning to them. You might even recognize a few familiar local faces as well! Best of all, you can download a copy for free!
