This Thursday we have a lot to be thankful for. We would like to thank Fortis, The Taber Clinic, JEB Transport LTD, and the Taber Royal Bank for their generous donations. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Taber Food Bank volunteers who worked so hard at getting our Christmas hampers prepared and distributed. #ThankfulThursday #thankyou

*UPDATE* We have reached our target of signing up the maximum number of participants for our Community Christmas Dinner! Thank you to everyone for your intere...st and support! ----------------------- Our Team at CM & EAT will be hosting a free Community Christmas Take-Home Dinner on Wednesday, December 23rd between 3:00-6:00 PM. The dinners will be meticulously and carefully prepared in individual containers for Take-Home enjoyment. We will have 300 hot and delicious meals, while quantities last, available for anyone. The meals will include: Roasted Turkey Baked Stuffing Garlic Mashed Potatoes Steamed Vegetables Cranberry Sauce Gravy Dessert To assist us in serving as many people as possible in a safe and efficient manner, we ask that those who are interested in participating call us ahead at (403) 416-4663 to schedule a time that can be arranged for pick up of your meal(s). We are so grateful to our community for the love and support that we have received and simply wish to share in the joy and spirit of the Christmas season. Best wishes!

We are looking for a volunteer or two that can come in 1-2 days a week on a regular basis and work 4-6 hours each of those days. They need to be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, help with food handling and sorting, and help with clients. CP Holiday Train at Home Virtual Concert is tonight at 6pm MST and will be raising money, food and awareness for food banks across Canada and the United States.

Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe long weekend with their friends and families. At the Taber Food Bank we are so incredibly thankful for all of the support that we receive from the community. It truly does make a difference.

Each Friday we highlight a business, organization, or service group that supports the Taber Food Bank. This week we would like to recognize Lamb Weston for their financial support, donations of frozen potato products, and their employee matching donation program. #FeatureFriday

Each year, the Telus Corporation distributes 10 Kits for Kids (backpacks with school supplies) to every MLA in the province. When the MLA’s receive them, they distribute them to schools, organizations or families who need them in the riding. This year the recipient was the Taber Food Bank. We were very grateful when Grant Hunter and his staff came by earlier this week to drop off the kits. Each kit includes one backpack, one pack of lined paper, two packages of exercise books (four per package), one pencil case, one 12-pack colouring pencils, one 10-pack HB pencils, one 6-pack blue BIC pens, two erasers, one flexible ruler and one Telus Wise ruler, and one reusable youth-sized facemask. #Thankyou #ThankfulThursday
