RECREATION FACILITIES CLOSURE NOTICE: New Public Health Measures in effect starting Sunday, December 13, 2020. The Aquafun Centre, Community Centre and both arenas will be closed for the next four weeks (up to and including January 12) at which time the Government of Alberta will reassess the COVID-19 situation. Family Outings - YES PLEASE Over the next 3 weeks, while you are following the new regulations, you might be looking for something to do as a family. Here are a few options for you to do as a household that you may not have thought of: 1. Community Centre - Auditorium Rental - $36.25/hr (includes basketball, volleyball, kickball, or pickleball equipment) 2. Rent the Large Ice - Adult $161.25/hr or Youth $80.75/hr 3. We have many local vendors who are ready to spread some Christmas cheer and help you get your shopping done. As with all of our events this year, we are putting extra emphasis on the safety of EVERYONE. Vendors screened, required to wear masks and asked to sanitize their stations often. We are asking all shoppers to do their part by: 1. Masks are MANDATORY for everyone in attendance 2 Physically distance at all times & follow the directional arrows (they won't lead you wrong and you will get to see everything) 3. Don't touch the product unless you are serious about purchasing 4. Consider joining us at a time other than right at 12pm to avoid everyone coming at once. "THE TIMES ARE A CHANGIN" The staff at the Aquafun Centre recognized that with the changes in occupancy due to the new guidelines, there is more demand on some of the swim programs. They have answered by adding some more times (over the next 3 weeks only) to meet the demand. The new schedule is attached. Please see the following reminders prior to visiting us: 1. Masks are MANDITORY while in the building (except in the pool area) 2. Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes ...prior to the start of the swim 3. Whenever possible, have you and your family come dressed in your swimwear to limit your time in the changerooms 4. Please remember to physically distance (2m) from others. The Lobby is limited to 4 physical distancing locations. If those 4 spots are occupied, please remain outdoors until a spot opens up 5. Consider having your family leave the pool a few minutes early to avoid change room congestion 6. Please consider showering at home after your swim to limit your time in the dressing room 7.
