Hey everyone, The first week back to work went pretty smoothly! So far clients haven’t seemed to mind wearing a mask too much and I’m getting used to my new protocols. I’m still making my way through a very lengthy cancellation list. I assure you, I will get to you all. It will just take a bit of time. Make sure to check your emails regularly as I find I’m able to get to many more people at a time by email. ... Please don’t panic if you haven’t heard from me yet, you will! I've got great news! Today we received notice from our association that the Department of Health and Wellness and Dr. Strang have approved our "return to work" guidelines. This means that I plan to open up starting Monday, June 8th. I will be spending this week reaching out to clients in the order they were cancelled to get everyone rebooked fairly, getting the clinic in order, developing a plan for myself, and posting information throughout the clinic to make it as smooth a ...transition for us all as possible. If I haven't contacted you yet, please bare with me, I have A LOT of you to reach out to! :) I will update you within the next week (probably the next few days) to let you know what changes you can expect when coming in for an appointment. The biggest changes will be the wearing of masks and screening prior to your appointment. Another thing I would like to point out is that due to Massage Therapy being an unregulated profession here in Nova Scotia there are multiple associations. Just because my association has been given the approval already does not mean the others have. If you are not a client of mine it is very possible that your RMT just hasn't reached out yet because their association is still awaiting the approval of their guidelines. We're all super excited to see you, and we are doing our very best to work with what information we're being given, when we're being given it. Hope you're all staying well. Stay tuned! Happy Monday! As I’m sure many of you heard today on the update with Stephen McNeil and Dr.Strang, Massage Therapy along with many other businesses/professions have been given the go ahead to open up as of June 5th. Last night we were provided with a draft for our reopening guidelines. That draft has not yet gotten the approval so we are waiting for the approval before we can technically book people in. My association sent this email after the NS Government’s update... Good Afternoon,... It was just announced by the Premier this afternoon that Massage Therapists may return to work, June 5, 2020. Please note, our return to work plan is still under review and has not received final approval at this time. As soon as it is finalized and we receive any further news, we will let you know. MTANS I will keep you all informed on when this return to work plan is approved and I can book you guys back in. In the meantime, it would be advised that if you have a reusable mask or access to disposable masks that you bring one with you when the time comes. I am waiting on a bulk order of disposable medical masks currently and will be adding a small fee of $1 for any client that needs one. This news is very exciting and I look forward to seeing you all in the near future. I will make it known as soon as I’m given notice that our plans have been approved and I can move forward. Too cute not to share! The only massage my clinic has seen in over 2 months now! After seeing me fix his daddy’s shoulders and SI joints every time he tweaks them Hunter started saying you give me a ‘ssage please?. So the other day he hopped on the table to see what my clients get to experience when they come in for appointments. It may have only been a 5min ‘ssage but he thought it was pretty darn cool His favorite part might still be the electric table though
