A few weeks ago, the TAEH hosted an event for World Homeless Day with the Toronto Public Library at the Toronto Reference Library. At the event, stories were shared by people with lived experience of homelessness. Earlier this week we participated in a panel at Twitter Canada. Our panelists included speakers from the Downtown Yonge BIA, Twitter, TAEH and Fred Victor. We discussed the role the businesses can play in addressing and ending homelessness and there were some great best practices and ideas that were shared.
