Adventures Abroad

I am finding it too time consuming to manage both my personal and adventures abroad page (trying to figure it out has taken me more than a few days, am not very technically adept). Will use my main personal page to continue my posts unless I update otherwise :) You can continue to follow this page (in case I use it again). Thank you for following me here.

Enjoying our time in and around Phewa Lake -paddle boating, eating by lakeside, meeting boys who caught their own fish, spotting iguanas..

Stayed mostly in second largest city that is Pohkara. Here’s boat ride to the World Peace Pagoda, which is wondrously amazingly beautiful and moving to see!!! Makes whole travel to Nepal worth it. Lunch (best chicken curry!) at restaurant at top of hill. Gorgeous 360 view.

Warmly welcomed by our Nepali host family who made delicious dahl badht (traditional meal consisting of beans, rice, and a vegetable or curry) for us every evening. Bit of insight into Nepali culture. Kathmandu a very populated, noisy and polluted city. Vehicles on diesel and road construction throughout many parts of country.

From the beginning.. Bon voyage dinner with kids’ school friends and their families on night before taking off. Morning send off from family. Approx 35 hr plane trip to Kathmandu Nepal.
