Honeybun came to us in March 2020 with her sister Elsa( now named Salem ) she has since been adopted. YAY HONEYBUN !

We’d like to give a BIG THANK YOU to Rosemary Leu( Milner )for her donation towards this little guy’s vet care/medication. He is feeling a lot better. But has a very long road ahead of him. He will be getting treatment for at least six weeks... Here’s hoping all goes well and he’s not adversely affected by all of the medication he has to be on. We’d also like to thank Moira Fynes and Alexsia Dekaneas for coming out to help shovel snow, for dropping off donations and ...taking dirty blankets to the laundromat. We’d also like to thank Save On Foods for their ongoing donation of dog food and cat food for our rescues. We are currently trying to think of a name for him. The hubby wants to call him Taz because he looks like a Tasmanian devil. I thought we could call him Spud cause there are soooo many things you can do with a little brown potato( They can be mashed, French fried, pan fried, scalloped etc) SO MUCH POTENTIAL and I think this little guy has the potential to be anything we want him to be.

Will hopefully have the finishing touches done on the CAT CONDO by the end of the month. It’s been quite the project but will be nice to see the finished product.. So excited to use it in 2021! Cat cubbies designed by Alan Purvis

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!! Sarabi is a young spayed, tattooed &,vaccinated female looking for her forever home. She is friendly and loves to just hang out with the humans and cuddle. Currently she is in foster care but would love to have a permanent home to call her own.

Fancy Pants ( later named Lacey ) came to us back in February 2020 when she was found under a local couple’s trailer. By the time she was rescued her nose & ears had been frostbitten. The tips of her ears fell off but that only added to her character. She has since found her forever home and lives with 4 dogs and another cat.

YAY! Black Jack’s ADOPTION is PENDING!!!

UPDATE DECEMBER 21, 2020: Handsome man ROAMER was neutered, vaccinated and tattooed and quickly ADOPTED. OCEAN (grey female) is starting to warm up to people. I have two people interested in adopting her once she is available. STORM is very elusive still so hoping she will warm up once her sister moves out.

So Puppy has been diagnosed with what vet believes is Demodex mange, a bacterial infection as a result of scratching from the discomfort of the mange and a yeast infection in his ears. He will be on numerous medications. Because he is so small they have to make his medication especially for him. Thankfully the wellness centre in Fort St. John is able to do this for us. Hoping he will be back at the rescue tomorrow and on his way to recovery in the next few weeks.
