This is a pretty well known abandoned home in the Toronto area. It's extremely unique and heavily watched. I've heard of many stories of other explorers attempt...ing to go here and being caught and yelled at by neighbours or the owner. When RiddimRyder Photography and I visited here, we had no issues fortunately. This house was just a regular house once upon a time. In the 1970's, a man with eccentric taste purchased the home and moved in. The man was an avid traveler and became inspired by different architectures he came across on his journeys all around the world. Over the years he began transforming his home to incorporate pieces of his travels. Both inside and outside are one of a kind works of art and this home became his canvas. The man eventually grew older and the house began falling into disrepair. Even while the man still lived there he began to struggle to keep it up and neighbours watched him struggle to repair the roof. The house had become quite the eyesore for over 15 years now and it only became worse once the man moved into a nursing home. In 2018 the house was sold and the new owner has plans to demolish it. Unfortunately, there are many holes in the walls and roof and water damage throughout has really compromised the structural integrity of this house. With it's one of a kind architecture and the level of decay - I don't think this house could be easily saved. I'm just glad we had the chance to finally get some pictures here before it is gone! I like this! We really work hard to get our licenses and mandatory annual update courses. I recently completed the Commercial license update course and wowza it was challenging to say the least.
