Phew! We just got slammed by a huge thunderstorm, after months of drought (very unusual for these parts, but all part-and-parcel with climate change). My beautiful sunflower fell over in the rain and wind (I actually watched it keel over from the upstairs windows, which made it extra sad). Oh well, @john_frederick_cox is making himself a beautiful sunflower bouquet with the spoils now, so you can expect some more sunflower paintings, I think. . . . The garden is looking fabulous, this year. Things are dry, but we’ve been watering diligently and *knocks on wood* the pests have been kind to it/us. . . .
