New Years is around the corner and we have had to change our plan yet again due to the lockdown across Ontario. So celebrate the new year in true 2020 style and get a meal to go to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. We will be offering a curb side pick up for a four course meal seen below the pick up times will be from 5-730 every 15min. We will be using the number system we used in the spring for pick ups to provide a safe contact free pick up. All you have to do is cal...l when you arrive and we will assign you a now serving number and provide further instruction. To order please call us at 705-789-9769 between 12-4pm starting tomorrow afternoon Sunday December 27th or send us an email at [email protected] with your order we do prefer you call in your credit info as it’s the most secure way. Space is limited and we will be stopping orders at 4pm on December 30th. We look forward to hearing from you and healing you celebrate the end of 2020.

As promised we are sending out another update: These are difficult times and we continue to deal with changing restrictions and now lockdowns with the recent updates we have had to pivot yet again. We regret to inform you that as of today the winter chalets are no longer available until further notice! It has been brought to our attention that they are counted towards our indoor capacity of 10 people at a time. We will be seaking an exemption to this, however, we do need to ...comply in the mean time. We apologize to everyone who had a reservation and has lost it. Take out is still available until December 24th however we do not have anymore sit down seating available and menu items may not be available due to us reducing inventory heading into a 28 day lockdown. As of December 26th we have been placed on a 28 day lockdown this means we will be closed for sit down dining. unfortunately if you have a reservation after this time we will be in contact with you ASAP, as it would now be cancelled. As I’m sure you all are aware it’s been a long, frustrating, and mentally exhausting year for Ashley and I so we have decided to completely close for two weeks starting December 25th and enjoy the holidays with our son axel! We will be doing a take out event on New Year’s Eve keep an eye out for menu details. After that we will be offering Takeout every Thursday-Saturday from 5-730 starting Jan 7 keep and eye out for menu details regarding that as well. We do still have space for our Christmas Eve pickup for Christmas Day give us a call to book your pickup. We really appreciate everyone’s support and understanding over the last few months it means a ton to us and our family! We know many of you have reservations over the holidays with us and with the recent leaked news of a lockdown coming as of Christmas Eve we have been getting a ton of calls and messages. At this point it’s just leaked information and not 100% we will be in contact with everyone tomorrow if the changing restrictions affect you. And will post an update for everyone else to know what we will be doing moving forward. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to deal with daily changes in regulation. Another update! We have worked out New Year’s Eve and did it via a lottery. For those who didn’t get in we apologize for the inconvenience it was a tough decision we where forced to make and came up with a system we feel was the fairest for everyone and we hope you join us another time. At this time we are fully booked and no more reservations will be made for that day. For those of you who have been waiting for our updated Christmas Day menu that is being offered for take ...out it’s attached to this post. Please remember that pick ups will be every 15 minutes starting at 3pm on the 24th until 730pm and everything will be cold and set up in Separate containers so it’s easy to take out and finish cooking on the 25th. Please call your order into the restaurant. Thank you again for all your understanding and continued support through these difficult times.

We also forget to mention we will continue to be open for breakfast on Sundays mornings.

Update! As is well known by now, tomorrow December 14th we start red zone restrictions here in Muskoka. What does this mean for us and you as our guest. We are only allowed 10 customers at a time in the restaurant. luckily we have out door seating available in the form of our chalets. What we have decided to do is this. Lunch will still be available, but of course we are limited for seating. We will have dinner seatings everyday at 5, 5:30 and 7, 7:30 once the 10 spaces ...are full at anytime unfortunately that will be it for the evening for eat in dining, however take out will continue to be offered everyday. The chalets are available at 4:45, 5, 5:15, 5:30 and then again at 6:45, 7 , 7:15, 7:30 and will now be available to prebook only while we remain in the red zone! There is a risk to booking the chalets as mentioned before weather is a concern. So if we can’t serve outside due to extreme weather we may have to cancel your reservation as we may not be able to move you inside. If we can and you wish to, of course we will accommodate. Our updated holidays are as follows. We will now be open for Christmas Eve for both dine in and take out! We will be closed Christmas Day December 25th and December 26th. We will also be offering our Christmas Day menu for pick up through out the 24th. It will be prepared in such a way that makes finishing the cooking the next day as easy as we can for you. We will post the updated menu shortly! Please call the restaurant to place your order and we will guide you through the process over the phone. New Years. We will be open for the max seatings we are allowed however we are currently still trying to figure out how to deal with existing reservations and will provide an update as soon as possible! We will of course be offering take out that evening as well! Unfortunately we will be closed at 9 and our last seating will be 730 due to Covid restrictions limiting us to not serving alcohol past 9pm and having to be closed, and empty by 10pm. We will also be closed January 1st. At this point no more reservations will be taken for New Year’s Eve. We apologize for the last minute changes and appreciate your patience as we continue to do our best with ever changing covid-19 restrictions. We will get through this and look forward to better and brighter days! Don’t forget we are still open 7 days a week and offer take out for our entire menu! Gift cards are also still available. Late night poll! We have had some interest and questions about our gazebos being heated. We have been listening and are wondering if there is interest in an dining experience only Tall Trees can provide. We are exploring the idea of closing in the gazebos with removable covers for the summer months and adding a wood stove to each unit creating an unique Muskoka dining experience. Let us know your thoughts below.

Update! Unfortunately despite everyone’s best effort we have just received word we have been moved into the red zone of the Ontario governments Covid-19 response frame work. Please bare with us as we figure out what exactly this means for us and the best way to handle it! If you have an existing reservation do not panic we will be contacting everyone as fast as possible. Thanksgiving is fast approaching and we are almost fully booked! Many have been asking what we are doing for takeout. For those that have asked and those interested we are offering our thanksgiving menu for take out but have limited spots at 5,530,6,630,7 and 730. Please call ahead with your order and credit info and we are happy to place your order. The only thing not available for take out is the creme brûlée as it’s tricky to do for take out. July 1st is right around the corner... and you know what that means (yes, youre right, it is Canada Day), but its also the first day of our expanded hours! Update! Great news as of this morning we have been given the green light to open our patio. Space is limited and we are taking reservations at 5,530,7,30 Thursday-Saturday currently. We look forward to seeing everyone again! We will also be taking reservations for fathers days Sunday June 21 and serving the same menu posted earlier this morning. And of course curb side is still available.

Update! The health and safety of our customers and staff are our number 1 priority. This means that we will follow all requirements set out by both the Ontario government and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. Late yesterday a document put out by the health unit was sent to us and out lines that the patio must by open air and that no tents/structures/canopies with sides/enclosures are permitted for use during this stage of the reopening. We are working on a couple solutions to this but at this time our screened in patio will remain closed until further notice. We will however continue to offer take out for curb side pick up Thursday-Saturday from 5-730. We apologize for any inconvenience and are working very hard to bring dining at Tall Trees back as soon as possible. Stay safe and healthy.
