Tanks new knee

Sorry I have not updated in a whole. The recovery process has been a lot of work, but Tank is healing nicely! No more cone of shame! And we can go on small walks without the sling now! Soon she will be allowed some more freedom so I am looking for a pressure mounted baby gate for the bottom of the stairs if anyone has on i can have.

So since Wednesday we have been having an issue with pottie times. She wants to walk around in the yard but won't go pee. Big issues are i have to carry a 28kg dog up and down the stairs and then as she is not allowed to bare weight on that left leg yet so I have to walk around holding a sling that keeps her back end up a bit. After about 5 minutes my arms are shaking and I am ready to scream. (She is not a light dog) we set up a place for her to be able to eliminare on our t...hird floor but she would not go to the bathroom on the dirt we brought up for her till this am.. yes finally after 5 days she has fully eliminated both poop and pee up on the potty spot on the deck. Here is hoping she has it figured out now! And my arms can get a break... (oh and so you know my husband has a knee injury and can't carry any weight up and down the stairs right now.. otherwise he would do that for me.. and waking my ASD son who can carry her for me at 6 am is a good recipe for a horribly hard day for everyone!) So surgery went well she had completely severed her ACL and her manasicus. She will stay there over night.. but she will need to stay unactive.. no running, playing, jumping for 2 months!! Pray i can keep this crazy athletic puppy quite the whole time. Yikes!

No updates yet as to how she is doing, surgery was scheduled for this afternoon so should hear something in the next few hours. Just getting up and ready to head into the vets for surgery today. We are still short some funds so we will be out collecting bottle again on Sat but we are close enough to get her in. Pray it goes smoothly and she recovers quickly. .. but doesn't push it, she tends to be a bit of a tough girl and will do things she shouldn't when hurt.
