Posted @withregram @lydiaknoxart Full moons can be intense, this one in particular is a little rough. Love can save the day, treat yourself with love, nurture yourself, be there for you. A lot of things are falling on our shoulders, some of us are mourning, for the loss of freedom, for our family, for technical snafus that happened now that mercury is edging into retrograde. That rough voice of our shadow has a lot of merit. This is especiallytrue for those with planets in Scorpio, Leo, Taurus and Aquarius. Take time out to allow for recovery, whatever that means for you. Book an appointment with a therapist, take a long walk through the woods, enjoy a bath, allow for a nap in the middle of the day. Things will change and this stressful full moon will pass. The only thing constant is change. I struggle with depressionmyself, sometimes it can knock me flat, sometimes I just push forward, even with the heavy weight of blah on my heart. Eventually I work though it, with the help of a therapist, but thank goodness I have the tools. With the latest news coming from our Provincial government, and with it being an utterly gloomy looking day outside, I decided it was time for MORE tea. Tea for centuries, has a way of making us feel better in times of strife and feeling like we have no control. So today for me, my tea is about being uplifted and with the candle burning under the kettle, it helps me to lighten up too.... What's in my cup you ask? A tea that I fondly call Ugly White, better known as Shou Mei. This is from a Bing (round type of tea brick) that is from 2012. It is a tea that is meant to help you feel better, and it really does. Tea is more important than ammunition., Winston Churchill, 1942 Almost 60 million people lost their lives in WWII, of which 40 million were civilians, systematically targeted to break the enemy soldiers’ morale. Soldiers, having witnessed more death than any human ever should, had to be removed from the battlefield due to severe psychological trauma and nervous breakdowns.... In those chaotic times, a lot of comfort was needed to maintain morale. So, the British government made an unusual decision in 1942 and purchased all the black tea available on the European market in an effort to help their soldiers. Desperate times called for desperate measures, and tea was an object of comfort; it was easy to make and healthy, reminding the young men of home. Besides keeping the men hydrated, the act of making and drinking tea was also a time for bonding, raising their morale and courage. This time of year is especially important to my husband and I. Normally we would be on the road to La Belle Province (Quebec) to visit with family. This year, for obvious reasons, things will be different, but no less important. We may not be traveling but we will be spending quality time with our family, even if we are not with them in person. Because of that, I am honouring this time to be thankful, grateful of all that this year has brought to the table. Yes, I do mean th...at. Covid has been so devastating to our whole world, and it’s still not done with us yet . . . However, it has forced me to grow, and push past many of my own blocks, personally and with my business. I am grateful for these lessons that didn’t start from fear, but instead it was innovation and adaptation to changes not initiated by me.
