A HUGE Thank You to everyone who has ever contributed to Chicks for Chicks honor packages !! With your help, we surprised 5 single Moms (& 1/2 - last minute, much deserving Mom. Used a mid December $$ donation instead of splitting 5 ways) in our community with an honor package in this past December. I have received a few notes this past week of thanks and gratitude because our gift, "brought so much joy" to the holiday! ... I delivered the packages and all our 2019 Chicks are beautiful, humble, inspiring & grateful ... amazing women. All Moms were given an honor package of over $300 in value. Included were numerous spa & beauty products, grocery gift cards, gift cards to local businesses, chocolates, $20 cash, homemade cookies, Christmas ornament, a custom-made dream catcher, chocolate & a special piece of donated jewelry chosen specifically for them. Thank you for caring about Cochrane & the people who live here! Chicks for Chicks collects 2nd-hand jewellery & sells it by donation. 100% of profits collected go to create the honor packages for hardworking, single Moms in Cochrane. This is our 6th year creating & honoring. Chicks for Chicks awesome single Moms are chosen for the choices they make each day. They live or work in Cochrane, work hard, don’t complain much (usual amount A-ok), who also make helping people in our community a part of their lives. Recipients receive a care package full of useful & luxury gifts with a focus on local businesses. The recipients are nominated. They are also asked to pick one item from their honor package to give to someone who inspires them. First wife/homeschool mom for 25 years/exercise teacher and finally caterer, which she started about 10 years ago. She Loves cooking and serving others good food with a home cooking experience. Having her own large family has been helpful, designing business cards, hauling stuff, working with me and it’s been a truly family affair. Cathy provided us with a delicious hot breakfast & lunch for the day! Yummy! Thank you so much! Grateful!
