TAPP 19.09.2020

There is a new location and name for the TAPP web site: www.peoplespotential.org.

TAPP is awaiting word from two project proposals. We are about using a community-based approach to achieve change both within in individuals, and within our society. The one proposal involves working with people who have been foster kids, orphans (losing both parents when young), and the Surrendered (given up at birth, and those who did the surrendering). It has the aim of helping people to tell their stories, and to form a peer support group. The other project is for Senio...rs who may be suffering from substance abuse (alchohol; illegal drugs; and prescription drugs). It involves going out to senior's buildings and communities, to provide education and counselling support, and develop peer support networks. In both projects TAPP will be working in association with the Addictions & Psychotherapy Professionals organisation.

New Directions for TAPP New Directions for The Achievement of Peoples’ Potential (TAPP) TAPP is changing. It will be focused on two areas blocking persons from moving ahead with their lives. Addictions substance-based (alcohol & drugs), and life-style (gambling; the Internet; consumptive (food & things); digital communications). And, related, and of equal importance, Mental Health/emotional imbalance (depression; anxiety; lack of personal meaning). Each is a represent...ation of societal, as well as, personal challenges. . We will be working in partnership with the Addiction & Psychotherapy Professionals (www.addictionsandpsychotherapy.com) Special emphasis will be place on the giving of prescribed drugs to Children and Seniors, development of peer support groups, and achieving life meaning after losing jobs, and retirement.
