Here’s a story about how I made $1000 extra dollars in a week because my coach said I should sell more frequently But first, NO your niche and industry aren’t a barrier. There’s hundreds of therapists successfully selling alternatives to 1:1 therapy. Online. Right now. It wasn’t my no brainer offer, it wasn’t crystal clear messaging...cause I did NOT whip that up on the fly ... I was able to announce an offer and sell it because I have a warm audience, full of ideal client leads. Here’s how this didn’t happen by accident: 1Extensive market research. I’ve analyzed data collected from forms and face-to-face interactions on strategy calls, discovery calls, market research calls, client interactions and my direct messages (Hi, I’m Tara and I’m social on social media -- feel free to take this page from my book) 2Show up everyday. Between generating leads and nurturing my audience... Seriously, daily engagement and Instagram Stories... I have been showing up learning, growing and interacting with therapists, virtual assistants, coaches and many more human beings on Instagram since the beginning of March when I brought my business online. 3Clarify brand values. It doesn’t all have to be picture perfect, I’m going through a professional rebranding process right now (HEY @jenniecarforadesigns) but I wasn’t married to what I was doing and my content and personality (read: sass) spoke for themselves. So do my client results and testimonials. Plus, I don’t share testimonials for clients who didn’t out-right love me and I them. Create it and they’ll come nah, I’ve been taking daily, inspired action for MONTHS to lead up to my on the fly launch. It didn’t just happen because good luck. You can’t show up one time. Or five times. And decide you don’t like it or it didn’t work especially if you’re only giving 50%. If you’re seriously ready to grow a following of ideal clients instead of just other clinicians (unless those are your ideal client, too) I have an offer dropping especially for you on Monday, September 21!Eek! I like sweet and Adam likes salty , some would say we're a perfect pair But you know better don't you? Save this post, for future reference of my pre-post checklist at the end of this caption Content marketing might play out the same way for you, one type of content probably shows up (' , ' ) for you and performs significantly better than others.... Let's investigate, you might post content that is: Controversial/polarizing Entertaining/funny Inspirational/storytelling Valuable Vulnerable It's not an exhaustive list and there can be overlap but the point I want to illustrate is that and futhermore (because they're authentic AF). So wether you prefer to post inspirational stories filled with hope and human connection or you're speaking the langauge of those of us who like a little tough love... it's really important that you lean in vs. trying to create from a place of not-your-jam! ' , ' . Before you post anything else on the internet... STOP And ask yourself: What is my motivation for posting... Is this authentic to me as a human being... Is this authentic to me as a therapist... What is the goal of this post... Who is this post for, will they know it's written for them... If you're uncertain what type of content is your bread and butter (for social media or other (actual) currency ) it won't take you long to learn what performs with this checklist! I know it's tough to sift through all the "best practices" out there. Let me keep it real with you: being part of the OG social media & smartphone generation, I am privy to the prevalence of changes and the constant need to adapt in this online marketplace. . :... You won't learn to create a sustainable online brand very quickly investing time and money into free and cheap resources. Put some skin in the game with someone you're excited to work with, then get busy. Steer clear of coaches touting one-way frameworks or offering education on only one way to build a funnel. You and your business are unique. If you're not excited about what you're selling or who you're selling it to, you won't be selling anything. Group support is good but 1:1 support is great for you stewers and thinkers. I'm a fan of investing in my business; even if it doesn't always work out as planned I've always left better than I began in some capacity. In July I made the leap for a 5-figure investment (after the exchange rate) in my business to propel me to the next level. Hey @peggyrejames So I just have one question... ? : @derianemilyphotog

I'll spare you... just kidding CONSISTENCY IS KEY I'll never stop telling you that! Plan your content ahead of time A little delayed gratification can go a looong way. This will allow you to get ahead of the curve and create as it suits you, without having to worry about ghosting or worse, posting without purpose. ... Get clear on the messaging for CTAs The easiest way to de-yuck your calls to action are to practice doing them on every piece of marketing you release and by first, leading with value. It's novel, not wrong or unethical, market your practice online or they'll find someone else who is! Know your niche and ICA In order to solve our ideal client's problem, we need to first understand what their problems are (AND WHO THEY ARE). I often see therapists offering messaging online that doesn't really match the market that they are targeting. Do your market research! Social media doesn't have to be difficult. Put some energy behind these three things and let me know how you manage!
